This particular Winchester 9422 XTR is the ultra-rare Boy Scouts of America, Diamond Jubilee, 75th Anniversary Commemorative! There were only 75 of these limited edition gold-plated commemoratives produced in 1985!

The right side of the gold-plated engraved receiver depicts scenes of scouting surrounded by the scouting law. The left side depicts scouting scenes surrounded by the Boy Scout oath and Motto , with both sides outlined in scouting rope knots. The upper tang is inlaid/engraved with "1 OF 75". The gold-plated medallion depicts the Boy Scout Diamond Jubilee emblem and is embedded in the right side of the buttstock.

Introduced in 1972, the 9422 was designed to capture the iconic aesthetic and handling dynamics of the famous Model 1894 rifle while incorporating modern precision manufacturing. Unlike many rimfire lever-actions of its era, the 9422 was built to rigorous full-scale centerfire standards, featuring a solid steel receiver, an ultra-smooth short-throw lever action, and exceptional lockup reliability. In 1985, U.S. Repeating Arms Company commemorated the 75th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America (1910–1985). Alongside their standard pewter-tone commemorative issue, Winchester produced an exceedingly rare "Diamond Jubilee" edition restricted to just 75 total rifles nationwide, representing the pinnacle of lever-action rimfire craftsmanship. This specific example, serial number BDJ26, is an astonishing rarity remaining in pristine, unfired, museum-grade condition. As part of the exclusive 1-of-75 Diamond Jubilee run, it features a dazzling engraved gold-plated receiver, lever, trigger, and barrel bands set against deep high-gloss bluing.
