The Sig Sauer P239 is a compact single-stack semi-automatic pistol developed as a slim, easily concealable defensive handgun that combines the renowned reliability and refined handling characteristics of the classic SIG Sauer P-series with dimensions better suited for concealed carry and plainclothes law enforcement use. Manufactured by SIG Sauer beginning in the mid-1990s, the P239 was chambered in calibers including 9mm Luger, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG, giving shooters a wide range of defensive cartridge options within the same platform.
