The SIG Sauer P239 is one of the most respected single-stack compact semi-automatic pistols ever produced, designed specifically for concealed carry while retaining the handling characteristics of SIG Sauer's classic P22X series. Introduced in 1996 and produced until 2018, the P239 was chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG. It features a short-recoil, locked-breech action, an aluminum alloy frame, a stainless steel slide, and was offered with DA/SA, DAO, or DAKtrigger systems. Unlike the double-stack P228 and P229, the P239 uses a slim single-stack magazine holding 8 rounds in 9mm or 7 rounds in .40 S&W/.357 SIG, making it exceptionally comfortable to carry while maintaining the renowned reliability, accuracy, and ergonomics of SIG's Classic Line pistols.
