The Safari Arms Renegade Scorpion Left-Handed is considered exceptionally rare because it was built as a true mirror-image 1911 rather than a standard pistol fitted with ambidextrous controls. Its specialized left-handed frame, slide, and operating components required a dedicated manufacturing process for a very limited market, and collector references commonly report that only 52 examples were produced. With production long discontinued and original replacement parts exceedingly difficult to find, a complete, unaltered example represents one of the hardest-to-locate commercial 1911 variants and a highly desirable piece for advanced Safari Arms and specialized handgun collectors.

The Safari Arms Renegade Scorpion Left-Handed is one of the most unusual and scarce variations of the classic 1911 platform. Rather than merely fitting an ambidextrous thumb safety to a conventional pistol, the Renegade was constructed as a true mirror-image 1911 for left-handed shooters, with its operating controls and major functional arrangement reversed from the traditional right-handed design.
