Item Description
Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this GORGEOUS single-action revolver today for a penny-start auction; this is the USFA Plinker.
This USFA Plinker Revolver represents an exceptionally scarce and highly desirable configuration within the USFA lineup, combining a 3.5” barrel, bird’s head grip frame, and factory dual cylinder setup—a combination that is seldom encountered and, in many cases, difficult to document elsewhere. United States Fire Arms was known for producing limited, high-quality revolvers before ceasing operations, and many of their more unique configurations were made in extremely small numbers. The addition of old ivory grips and its preservation in new old stock condition further elevates this example into a category rarely seen on the market. Advanced collectors will recognize that finding even one of these features can be challenging; encountering all of them in a single, untouched package—especially from a defunct manufacturer—is extraordinarily uncommon, making this a standout and potentially one-of-a-kind offering within the USFA Plinker series.
According to the owner, this example remains in “NEW OLD STOCK” condition, and we see no evidence to indicate otherwise!

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The USFA Plinker represents a unique and highly collectible offering from United States Fire Arms, a company widely respected for producing some of the finest Colt Single Action Army reproductions in modern times. Unlike their traditional centerfire revolvers, the Plinker was chambered in .22 rimfire and designed as a lightweight, affordable companion piece, while still maintaining the fit, finish, and craftsmanship that USFA became known for. Manufactured in Hartford, Connecticut, these revolvers carry a level of quality that often exceeds typical rimfire offerings, making them stand out within their category. Today, the USFA Plinker has developed a strong following among collectors due to its limited production, distinctive place within the USFA lineup, and the company’s relatively short production lifespan. As USFA ceased operations, interest in all of their firearms has steadily increased, with the Plinker representing an accessible yet historically significant entry point into the brand. Examples in high condition, particularly those retaining their original packaging and configuration, are becoming increasingly scarce and are highly sought after by both USFA enthusiasts and Colt-pattern revolver collectors alike.
