Item Description
Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this DESIRABLE lever-action rifle today for a penny-start auction; this is the Winchester 94 Great Western Artist I!
This particular example is a Limited Produced Firearm with only 999 ever being made, our example is #180 out of 999!
The Winchester Model 94 Great Western Artist I was one of Winchester’s more deluxe limited-production presentation rifles of its era, issued in 1982 and limited to only 999 examples. With a substantial original issue price, it was an extremely high-dollar rifle when new, especially compared to a standard Model 94 of the same period. Its desirability comes from the combination of low production, Winchester lever-action heritage, elaborate Western-themed embellishment, Bottega C. Giovanelli-signed engraving, and its presentation-style format. Rather than being a typical commemorative carbine, the Great Western Artist I was marketed as a premium art rifle intended for serious collectors, making complete, high-condition examples especially attractive today.

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Winchester Model 94 Great Western Artist I is a highly collectible limited-edition lever-action rifle built around one of Winchester’s most iconic American firearms, the Model 94. This edition is especially desirable because it combines the historic appeal of the classic Winchester 94 with elaborate Western-themed embellishment, including artwork associated with Bottega C. Giovanelli, the well-known Italian engraving studio recognized for high-detail commemorative and presentation-grade firearm work. With only 999 produced, the Great Western Artist I stands apart from standard commemorative Winchesters and appeals strongly to collectors of limited-production Winchester lever actions, Western art firearms, and embellished factory presentation pieces. Its combination of low production, decorative Western subject matter, and Winchester Model 94 heritage makes it a standout example for collectors seeking a visually impressive and historically rooted lever-action rifle.
