The BRNO 550 chambered in .460–.510 is an exceptionally rare and powerful custom dangerous-game rifle built on the renowned BRNO 550 Magnum action, one of the strongest and most respected controlled-round-feed actions ever produced. Manufactured by Ceská zbrojovka Uherský Brod under the BRNO name, rifles of this type were frequently custom chambered by gunsmiths for large-caliber wildcat cartridges based on the .460 Weatherby Magnum case necked up to .510 caliber, such as the .510 Wells or similar proprietary cartridges, to deliver tremendous stopping power for the world's largest and most dangerous game. The BRNO 550 Magnum action features a massive Mauser-style controlled-round-feed bolt with a full-length claw extractor, a fixed-blade ejector, and a generous magazine capacity, making it an ideal platform for heavy dangerous-game cartridges where absolute reliability is critical.
