This Kimber Factory Letter documents a Kimber Onyx Ultra pistol, identified by the highly significant serial number KOU0001. Chambered in 9mm, this compact firearm features a 3-inch barrel, a Silver/Black PVD finish, and G10 grips. The document highlights the firearm's historical importance as the very first serialized unit produced within its standard production line, marking the official beginning of that model's manufacturing history. As is common for inaugural examples, this "Serial Number One" pistol was originally held in the private collection of Kimber's founder and owner, Leslie Edelman. The letter, signed by Edelman and dated February 6, 2026, confirms its release from the Kimber Vault for delivery to Bryant Ridge Co. in Liberty, Kentucky.
