The SIG Sauer P239 is a classic compact single-stack semi-automatic pistol introduced in 1996, designed specifically for concealed carry and law enforcement use while maintaining the legendary reliability and craftsmanship of SIG’s traditional P-series pistols. Chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG, the P239 uses a short-recoil, locked-breech system with SIG’s proven DA/SA trigger system, decocking lever, and an aluminum alloy frame with a steel slide. Its slim single-stack design provided a more comfortable carry profile compared to SIG’s larger double-stack pistols, while still offering excellent accuracy and durability. The P239 uses a 3.6-inch barrel and magazines holding 8 rounds in 9mmor 7 rounds in .40 S&W/.357 SIG.
